Possibly everyone’s dream job! Unfortunately, it's not seen as a realistic career choice - but there is some good news in the form of a new internship program from Mars. They have begun advertising for someone to help taste new treats and snacks from the brand.
The Mars website says: "With visits to nearby manufacturing sites, you will go behind-the-scenes to see firsthand how our products are made and sample a wide spectrum of chocolate, gum and fruity confections - including flavors that haven't yet reached the public and brand varieties that are offered in 180 countries around the world."
The paid position is for an internship role in Chicago, with relocating for the 8-12 week duration. According to their ad, they are also offering a hefty years supply of free treats. The role includes media training and social media training and insight, with the right candidate expected to 'infuse flavorful fun into social media content development'.
Also specifying the candidate also needs 'strong writing and communication skills across a range of technical audiences', 'photo/video editing and production skills', and to be 'active and knowledgeable across social media platforms'. 'Experience in journalism and/or creative content development' is preferred but not required.
They will also need to 'be able to distinguish between the chocolate used in Snickers and M&Ms; name all five fruity flavors from the Skittles rainbow; and prove they can keep a potted peppermint plant alive for at least eight weeks'.
The position is going to attract many applications, so make sure you get in quick.
